The 2026 Canadian Orienteering Festival concluded on August 3, 2026, after an unforgettable week of fabulous Orienteering in the Maritimes. From the initial Fishbones weekend near Moncton, New Brunswick, to the final technical courses at Sandy Lake in Halifax, Nova Scotia, participants enjoyed brilliant summer weather, challenging forest and campus terrain, and warm community gatherings.

Festival Highlights

  • Diverse Terrains: Ranging from New Brunswick’s deep woods to urban and lakeside maps in Nova Scotia.
  • Community Spirit: Reunited old friends, welcomed newcomers, and celebrated local East Coast culture.
  • Volunteer Dedication: Endless thanks to the organizers, course planners, and site crews who made the massive undertaking a success.

The 2026 Canadian Orienteering Festival will be held the week of July 25 through August 3, 2026. The Festival will start with the Fishbones Weekend featuring top-notch orienteering near Moncton, New Brunswick. This will be followed by a week of other exciting orienteering and social activities. The Canadian Orienteering Championships will round out the festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
